The DTC core facility improves the transfer of cellular therapy research protocols towards clinical applications.

Field of activity:

Cellular therapy – academic institution/public laboratories

Know-how, expertise available:

  • Knowledge in biological material. Source and characterization are known and traceable in order to develop a protocol in optimal conditions.
  • Knowledge in immunotherapy / biotherapy.
  • Methodological support in cellular product analyses and productions.

Services provided:

  • Upgrade research protocols to a “clinical level”. This activity is managed in collaboration with the Cellular Therapy Unit based in Nantes hospital and mainly consists in studying and validating the use of GMP products.
  • Provide human peripheral blood cells (especially monocytes and lymphocytes) purified in technical and quality conditions close to those used in clinical protocols in order to make potential transfer easier from the beginning of a research protocol.
  • Monocyte-derived dendritic cells and macrophages productions.

Including training and staff possibilities:

Training of doctoral students as part of the SFR Bonamy core facilities training program.

Technologies offered:

– Dedicated and qualified equipment for cellular culture.
– Counterflow centrifugal elutriation: technology based on differences in sedimentation velocity, which is used to separate cells and keep them “untouched”.
– Traceability and quality insurance according to ISO 9001.
